Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy has expressed his regret over racially abusing a man in a casino, an incident that saw him disciplined by the club.
The England international invited the man to the Foxes' training ground to talk things through and apologised for his actions.
The 28-year-old told Sky Sports News: "It has been one of the hardest times in my career but luckily when it came to turning up to football on a Saturday I could just move it to one side as I was stepping over the white line and concentrate on the job in hand.
"I got into an altercation that is not like me and it is definitely out of character and like I said, I regret it massively but I do want to move on."
Vardy could start for Leicester this weekend when they host Aston Villa on Sunday afternoon.
