Nigel Pearson delighted with Leicester City performance

Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson reveals that he is delighted with the way his side performed in their 3-0 win over Ipswich Town in their Championship clash.

Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson has admitted that he was delighted with his side's performance in their 3-0 win over Ipswich Town in their Championship clash.

The Foxes seized the initiative early in the game when Jamie Vardy gave them the lead in the 19th minute, while a David Nugent strike doubled their advantage going into the break.

Pearson's side controlled the tempo of the contest and gave Mick McCarthy's men no chance to get back into the contest, before Chris Wood sealed the three points with a late goal.

He told told the club's official website: "[Most pleasing was] The result, keeping a clean sheet and being able to win the game, in the end, relatively comfortably.

"Whenever the score line is 2-0, as we've experienced in the last two games, you can get a foothold in the game.

"So for us the last goal was very important and all in all it was a very good performance from our players."

Leicester are eight points clear at the top of the Championship table.
