Leicester City's Claudio Ranieri: 'This Premier League season is very crazy'

Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri says that the Premier League title race is "very crazy" after playing out a goalless draw against Manchester City.

Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri has described the tight Premier League title race as "very crazy" after his team played out a goalless draw against Manchester City at the King Power Stadium this evening.

The Foxes, who escaped relegation from the top flight last season, are in contention for title glory as they enter the New Year second in the table, level on points with leaders Arsenal.

Jamie Vardy had the best of Leicester's chances to score this evening, but it was not to be as the Foxes recorded their first goalless stalemate of the season.

"I think we made a very good match," Ranieri told BT Sport. "It was difficult. We played well, we created some chances. I wanted to see how my players responded after the Liverpool defeat and they responded well.

"Every match is difficult for us. This league is very crazy! I think the big teams have to stay at a high level, but sometimes it means nobody wants to win the league - it's very strange this league! We're the basement and the other teams are a villa with a swimming pool. It's not easy for us but we want to fight with everybody.

"It's a miracle what we're doing. I'd love this to continue but it's not easy. I'd like my players to continue to fight like today. It's fantastic. I can only say well done to our players and our fans are unbelievable, they support us and they push us."

Leicester have only lost twice in the league this season.
