Leicester City have confirmed that Porto defender Ricardo Pereira has signed a five-year contract with the club.
The 24-year-old has finalised personal terms and completed his medical at the King Power Stadium, and the deal will officially go through when international transfer clearance is received on June 9.
Ricardo, who has been named in Portugal's preliminary squad for this summer's World Cup in Russia, joins for an undisclosed fee and has put pen to paper on a contract which will keep him at the club until 2023.
"I feel very happy to be here and I can't wait to do my best to help the team. The atmosphere, the fans and the football of the Premier League makes it the best in the world. I am here to support the team and to help the club to achieve its goals," the Portugal international told Leicester's official website.
Manager Claude Puel added: "I'm delighted to have a player of Ricardo's quality on board for next season. I remember him well from my time at Nice."
The fee to bring Ricardo to the King Power Stadium is thought to be in the region of £22m.
