Leicester City have reportedly upped their interest in Monaco winger Rachid Ghezzal.
The Foxes have only made four first-team additions this summer, but Claude Puel has funds at his disposal due to the sale of Riyad Mahrez to Manchester City.
According to the Daily Mail, Leicester have moved closer to replacing the Algeria international by being given permission to hold discussions with his compatriot Ghezzal.
The playmaker made 26 appearances for Monaco in Ligue 1 last season, but just seven of those outings came from the starting lineup and it has resulted in the club being open to offers for the 26-year-old.
Watford are also said to be keen on securing a deal before August 9, although it appears that Leicester are favourites to complete the transfer.
