Leicester City forward Ayoze Perez has revealed that he was tempted to make the switch to Valencia in the summer.
With just a year remaining on his contract at Newcastle United, Perez was allowed to link up with the Foxes, where he has impressed during the opening three months of the campaign.
However, the Spaniard has suggested that he eventually wishes to return to Spain after Valencia expressed an interest in his signature during the off-season.
Having acknowledged the interest from Los Che, Perez told ABC: "I miss the food, the weather and the life in Spain, of course I would like to return.
"Leicester offered me an ambitious project and made me feel that I would be the protagonist. Obviously, the change has been very good for me on the pitch. Now I am in a daring team that wants to use the ball and play attacking football."
The 26-year-old has contributed three goals and an assist in 10 Premier League outings for the East Midlands outfit.
