Out-of-favour Leicester City right-back Danny Simpson could be on his way to Championship side Stoke City, according to a report.

Stoke City manager Gary Rowett is reportedly looking to bring Leicester City right-back Danny Simpson to the bet365 Stadium.

The 31-year-old, a member of the Foxes' title-winning side two years ago, is not a part of Claude Puel's plans for the season and is due to be out of contract next summer.

According to the Daily Mail, Simpson is being looked at by Rowett and may be offered a route out of the East Midlands before the end of the month.

A loan deal is the only option, although an agreement could be struck for a permanent move to go through in the January transfer window.

Meanwhile, fellow Championship side West Bromwich Albion are also said to be in the market for a right-back.
