Liverpool forward Sadio Mane believes that it is make-or-break time for the Reds after they suffered their third defeat in four matches against Chelsea.

Liverpool forward Sadio Mane believes that it is make-or-break time for his side after they suffered their third defeat in four matches at the hands of Chelsea on Tuesday night.

Jurgen Klopp's side were aiming to secure their place in the quarter-finals, but goals from Willian and Ross Barkley secured Frank Lampard's side a 2-0 win against the Reds.

Despite also suffering a narrow 1-0 defeat to Atletico Madrid in the Champions League and then losing 3-0 away to Watford in the Premier League at the weekend, the Senegalese international told talkSPORT that he is not worried about Liverpool's recent slump in form.

"I think in this moment you could be or could not be a champion, a great champion, and I think this kind of moment has happened to us, but it's not the first time and it won't be the last time," Mane said.

"We just have to keep working hard and keep going if we want to be great champions.

"We'll learn from that defeat and then we'll be ready to go again."

Liverpool will be aiming to end their recent dip in form by picking up all three points in their Premier League clash against Bournemouth this weekend.
