Alan Navarro insists that Brighton must make a strong start at Liverpool.

Brighton & Hove Albion's Alan Navarro has said that his side must target a strong start against Liverpool in the FA Cup this weekend.

Navarro, who featured in the club's Carling Cup defeat to the Reds in September, claims that the result could have been different had the Seagulls made a stronger start to the fixture. Meanwhile, the side will look to settle the score this afternoon.

"We have got to start better than we did against Liverpool at the Amex," the former Liverpool man told the club's official website. "Then we'll see how it goes.

"We started far too slow and we let Liverpool dominate for the first 20 minutes. It was difficult for us after that. It took us too long to get into the game.

"We have produced a shock against Newcastle and Sunderland and there is no reason we can't do it against Liverpool, but we can't be fazed about facing them at Anfield."

The Seagulls are unbeaten in all competitions so far in 2012.
