Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that Jordan Henderson will be fit to return in Sunday's Premier League clash with Burnley.
The Reds captain picked up a minor back problem before the 2-0 win over Leicester City on Thursday and was nowhere to be seen among the squad members at Anfield.
There were suggestions that Henderson might have been spared for the Champions League showdown with Inter Milan, but Klopp has insisted that the midfielder will play at Turf Moor.
Speaking to reporters in his pre-match press conference, Klopp said: "Hendo definitely will be back, that's the plan and was the plan before the game and it's the plan now. If nothing happens he will play on Sunday."
The Liverpool boss also revealed that Divock Origi and Joe Gomez - both of whom have recovered from knee and COVID-19 issues in recent days - were left out in midweek on a tactical basis.
Klopp was further asked about Sadio Mane during the press conference, and the Reds boss revealed that the Senegal international could make his return at the weekend.
