Monday morning's Liverpool transfer talk news roundup:
Liverpool 'identify Rodrygo Goes as potential Mohamed Salah replacement'
Liverpool reportedly view Real Madrid attacker Rodrygo Goes as a potential long-term replacement for Mohamed Salah.
Rodrygo officially linked up with Madrid ahead of the 2019-20 campaign and made a positive impression for the Spanish giants last term, scoring seven times and registering three assists in 26 outings in all competitions.
The 19-year-old has also been involved on a regular basis this season, managing one goal and three assists in eight appearances for Zinedine Zidane's side.
According to reports in Spain, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is a huge admirer of the teenager and has identified him as a possible replacement for Salah.
The Egypt international scored his 10th goal of the season in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon when he found the net against Manchester City and has now managed 104 strikes in 165 outings for the Reds.
There remains speculation surrounding his long-term future, though, with a number of clubs, including Madrid, said to be keeping a close eye on developments at Anfield.
Rodrygo still has four and a half years left to run on his contract with Los Blancos.
Liverpool 'weighing up January move for Aissa Mandi'
Liverpool are reportedly considering a January approach for Real Betis centre-back Aissa Mandi.
The Reds were linked with the 29-year-old during the summer, but the transfer window closed with the Algeria international still at Estadio Benito Villamarin.
Jurgen Klopp's side are expected to enter the winter market for a new central defender, having lost Virgil van Dijk to a serious knee injury, potentially for the remainder of the season.
According to Fichajes, Mandi is still viewed as an option for the Reds, who played out a 1-1 draw with Manchester City in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
Mandi, who has scored once in seven La Liga appearances this season, will be out of contract in June 2022.
Inter Milan's Milan Skriniar is allegedly also being considered by the English champions.
