Saturday's Liverpool transfer talk news roundup: Perr Schuurs, Ezequiel Garay

Sports Mole rounds up the latest transfer talk for Liverpool on Saturday, November 28.

The summer transfer window has now closed and attention will begin to turn to January for Premier League champions Liverpool.

Jurgen Klopp's side brought in Thiago Alcantara, Diogo Jota and Kostas Tsimikas during the summer, making for one of their busier transfer windows in the last couple of years.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest news on possible comings and goings from Anfield.

Saturday morning's Liverpool transfer talk news roundup:

Liverpool to make £27m bid for Perr Schuurs?

Liverpool are reportedly prepared to pay £27m to sign Ajax defender Perr Schuurs during the January transfer window.

With Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez both suffering long-term injuries, Jurgen Klopp has often used Fabinho in their place at the back.

However, Liverpool's midfield has now started to become stretched, leaving Klopp to give more thought to new additions at the midway point of the campaign.

According to Corriere dello Sport, the Merseyside giants may follow up their interest in Dutch prospect Schuurs.

The 21-year-old, who only has 19 months remaining on his contract, has established himself as a regular in the centre of Ajax's defence this season.

Liverpool allegedly feel that a bid of £27m will be enough to get a deal over the line.

Barcelona 'could beat Liverpool to Ezequiel Garay'

Barcelona are reportedly considering a move for experienced centre-back Ezequiel Garay.

The Catalan giants have injury problems at the back with Gerard Pique, Samuel Umtiti and Ronald Araujo all currently on the sidelines, which has seen Oscar Mingueza promoted to the first team.

Ronald Koeman's side continue to be linked with Manchester City's Eric Garcia, but it remains to be seen whether the Citizens will allow the Spaniard to leave during the January transfer window.

According to Sport, Garay has emerged as an option for Barca as he is currently available on a free transfer, having left Valencia earlier this year following the expiration of his contract.

Liverpool have also been credited with an interest in the 34-year-old, who represented Argentina at the 2014 World Cup.

Garay played 31 times for Real Madrid between 2009 and 2011, while he made over 100 appearances for Valencia before his departure over the summer.
