Former Liverpool player John Aldridge has said that Raheem Sterling can emulate Thierry Henry and Theo Walcott and turn into a goalscoring forward.
The Reds have found the net just 19 times in 16 Premier League games this season, and find themselves down in 11th place, 10 points adrift of fourth-place West Ham United.
Aldridge believes winger Sterling could the answer up front, telling reporters: "Sterling is a really good player. He could be a star up front. We've seen Thierry Henry and Theo Walcott make the switch from out wide to up front, so why can't Raheem?
"He's got all the attributes. He might not be a natural scorer but he will get a lot of goals. He's not lightweight and is pound-for-pound as strong as anyone at the club."
Sterling is expected to take up a central role when Liverpool host Arsenal at Anfield tomorrow.
