Liverpool midfielder Joe Allen has revealed that he is determined to step up to become a key player at the club next season.
The 24-year-old has struggled for consistency following his £15m move from Swansea City in 2012.
However, following his side's qualification for the Champions League, Allen feels that he is ready to be an integral part of the Anfield squad as he enters his third year with the club.
He told The Mirror: "It is a big year, but every year is at a club like this. You always want to stamp your authority.
"Since day one, that is what I wanted to do. With the team having good momentum, back in a quality competition like the Champions League, it is up to me to really make my mark and be part of a success story at this club."
Allen made 26 appearances in all competitions for the Reds last season, scoring one goal.
