Brendan Rodgers to keep Jordan Rossiter at Liverpool

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers wants to keep young midfielder Jordan Rossiter at the club this season.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has declared that young midfielder Jordan Rossiter will not leave Anfield on loan before the end of the transfer window.

The 18-year-old - who made his debut against Middlesbrough in the League Cup last season - is yet to appear for the club in the Premier League, but Rodgers believes he will get his chance to impress this season.

Speaking at a press conference, Rodgers said: "I think there will be one or two who will go out on loan, but Jordan Rossiter has moved up here into the first-team dressing room and is a valuable player for our squad at such a young age.

"He's got maturity and he is one that will be staying here. We've got the Europe League and the cup games."

Rossiter has made six appearances for England at youth level.
