Liverpool's Philippe Coutinho working to improve goal tally

Philippe Coutinho reveals that he is putting extra work in to improve his form in front of goal.

Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho has revealed that he has been putting in extra training to improve his goalscoring prowess.

The Brazilian has impressed on the pitch in recent games, but is yet to provide regular contribution on the goal front.

This particular department is where Liverpool have been lacking this season, largely due to the absence of Daniel Sturridge, who has been out injured since August.

"I'm feeling very happy because the team have been playing well again," Coutinho told the club's official website. "This is so important as everyone does better individually when we are doing well as a team.

"We're constantly looking to improve and, as I said, I for one know I have to improve a few things. I want to be a player who will score goals more often.

"We're in a good shape at the moment and we'll have a few opportunities to test that in all games and competitions we have ahead of us."

Liverpool are unbeaten in their last six Premier League games.
