Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp expects Mohamed Salah's stunning strike against Manchester City to be spoken about for "a long time".

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp believes that Mohamed Salah's magnificent goal against Manchester City will be spoken about for a long time.

The Reds failed to fire in the opening 45 minutes against Pep Guardiola's men before the game exploded into life in the second half, with Sadio Mane and Phil Foden netting in quick succession.

However, the goal of the day belonged to Salah, who dribbled his way through a sea of blue shirts, got the better of Aymeric Laporte and fired home a cracker of an effort in the 76th minute.

Klopp is not expecting Salah's contribution to be forgotten about in a hurry, telling reporters: "Mo's goal was absolutely exceptional. We will talk about that for a long time."

The Egyptian's strike saw him score for the seventh game in a row across all competitions for Liverpool, seeing him match a personal record for the club set back in April 2018.

The day would end in disappointment for the Reds after Kevin De Bruyne's equaliser forced a share of the spoils, though, with Klopp's side occupying second spot in the table after seven games.
