Liverpool have refused to put a date on Glen Johnson's comeback from an ankle injury.
The defender was forced to pull out of the England squad for their upcoming World Cup qualifiers after suffering a sprain during Sunday's win over Manchester United in the Premier League.
"A further review will then take place to check stability and decide on further management," read an official club statement.
"Therefore, Liverpool have not put a timeframe on Johnson's return to fitness at this stage."
Johnson left Anfield wearing a protective boot following Sunday's victory against United.
