Brendan Rodgers has reportedly been told that he can not sign any of his former Swansea City players for 12 months.
The 39-year-old is expected to be unveiled as the new Liverpool manager this morning after the Reds agreed a compensation package with the Welsh side yesterday.
However, the package is thought to include a clause that forbids Rodgers from signing any Swansea player for a year.
The clause would scupper any plans that Rodgers had to raid his former club, with speculation linking him to moves for Ashley Williams and Scott Sinclair, among others.
The 39-year-old has been backed to make a big impact at Anfield by Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho after the two men worked together at Chelsea.
