Brendan Rodgers is confident that Liverpool will challenge for the Premier League title in a few years' time.

Brendan Rodgers believes that Liverpool can compete for the Premier League title in the coming years.

The Reds have not finished in the top three since the 2008-09 season, and are currently 12th in the standings with 15 points from 12 matches.

"There's absolutely no reason why we can't [challenge] over the next number of years," he told the BBC. "Sometimes you've got to drop a few levels before you build.

"We'll get there in the end; there's absolutely no question about that. As a group of supporters, these fans deserve it."

Liverpool are in Wales on Sunday for their Premier League clash against Swansea City.
