Martin Skrtel expects Mamadou Sakho to be a Liverpool success

Martin Skrtel believes that teammate Mamadou Sakho has all the right qualities to be a success at Liverpool.

Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel believes that teammate Mamadou Sakho will go from strength to strength at Anfield.

The 23-year-old has made an impression on Merseyside since arriving from Paris Saint-Germain on the final day of the summer transfer window.

"Mamadou is still a young player but he has plenty of experience with PSG and also the French national team," the Liverpool Daily Post.

"Since he came to Liverpool he has shown us he's a great player – strong on the pitch and strong mentally as well. He's a funny character who always trying to make a few jokes. Once he learns the language fully he will even better."

Sakho helped guide France to the World Cup in Brazil by scoring in last night's 3-0 playoff victory over Ukraine.
