Kolo Toure has said that Emre Can will be a "king" at Liverpool following a string of impressive performances from the 21-year-old.

Can signed for Liverpool in a deal worth £9.75m in the summer and has made 29 appearances in all competitions.

"He's a leader," Toure told The Mirror.

"When you're on the pitch, you can see that by the way he plays. He is really confident and he talks on the pitch as well.

"Right now, Jordan Henderson is very good, but there's no doubt this boy is going to be a king here. He is a top player, who can make a difference in games. He can score goals, his work-rate is amazing and there is no better player."

Can has eight caps for Germany Under-21s.
