Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp: 'Philippe Coutinho questions are a waste of time'

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp says that answering questions about the future of Philippe Coutinho has become "a waste of time".

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has admitted that he is growing tired of frequently having to answer questions about the future of Philippe Coutinho.

Since Neymar left Barcelona to join Paris Saint-Germain, the Catalan giants have held an interest in Coutinho, despite Liverpool maintaining that the Brazilian international is not for sale.

With the January transfer window edging closer, Klopp is having to deal with constant speculation regarding the midfielder, but the German has reiterated that "there is nothing to say" about the situation.

The 50-year-old told reporters: "I have no reason to think about it. We never spoke about transfers. Whatever I could say would not stop your questions, so I think I just don't answer it. It's just a bit of a waste of time. There is nothing to say at this moment.

"Nobody came to me and say he will be going away. I am fine with the situation how it is. I have no desire to have the story again until January."

Earlier this week, Coutinho refused to give any assurances over his future at Anfield, despite still having four and a half years remaining on his contract.
