Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has suggested that he has no intention of allowing Danny Ings to leave on loan during the January transfer window.
Ings has suffered two serious knee injuries during his time at Anfield, and the 25-year-old has been linked with a temporary switch to another club having only made four substitute appearances this season.
However, Klopp has revealed that Ings has a part to play during the final four months of the campaign, starting against West Bromwich Albion in the FA Cup fourth round on Saturday evening.
At a press conference, the 50-year-old said: "Ings is doing really well, the fact that we don't send him on loan show what our plans are with him.
"Since the injury it's been ups and downs. He's physically completely there, I can't remember the last session he wasn't properly involved. It's a good situation for him and for us at the moment."
Ings has made just five starts and 10 substitute outings in two-and-a-half years at Liverpool.
