Liverpool complete signing of young forward Taiwo Awoniyi

Liverpool complete the signing of 18-year-old Nigerian striker Taiwo Awoniyi, who will spend the rest of the season on loan at German side FSV Frankfurt.

Liverpool have confirmed the signing of young Nigerian forward Taiwo Awoniyi.

The 18-year-old frontman was a prominent fixture for the Imperial Academy in his native country, but will now spend the rest of the season on loan at FSV Frankfurt after completing a permanent move to Anfield.

"This is the biggest club in the world and I'm privileged to be here," Awoniyi told the club's official website.

"I'll try to develop myself very well so that when I come back to Liverpool I'll be able to add value to the team.

"When I'm in the red shirt, I will always give my very best to make the fans happy."

Awoniyi currently represents Nigeria at Under-23 level.
