Liverpool have reportedly launched a £58m bid for Roma goalkeeper Alisson Becker.
The 25-year-old, who was a part of the Brazil side knocked out of the 2018 World Cup at the quarter-final stage by Belgium, has been strongly linked with Liverpool and Real Madrid since the end of last season.
Earlier this month, it was reported that Chelsea had agreed to meet Roma's £64.5m valuation of the goalkeeper, but the Italian club's sporting director Monchi firmly denied such suggestions.
Monchi has since insisted that Roma will consider any offer that arrives for Alisson, however, and according to Gazzetta dello Sport, Liverpool have made a bid in the region of £58m.
The report also claims that the Reds are prepared to offer the Brazilian a five-year contract to move to Anfield.
Loris Karius has again been in the headlines this week, with Liverpool's current number one goalkeeper dropping another clanger in a pre-season friendly against Tranmere Rovers on Tuesday night.
