Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah is reportedly open to signing for a club playing in the Saudi Pro League this summer.

Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has reportedly 'given the green light' to a transfer to Saudi Arabia.

The Egypt international has just commenced his seventh season at Anfield, where he has already contributed 186 goals and 80 assists from 306 appearances in all competitions.

However, with less than two years remaining on his contract with the Merseyside giants, speculation is inevitably going to continue regarding his future.

Earlier this month, his agent Ramy Abbas Issa dismissed talk that the 31-year-old may move to the Middle East during the summer window.

Liverpool have already witnessed the likes of Fabinho and Jordan Henderson move to the Saudi Pro League, outgoings that lessen the chances of Salah following them over the coming weeks.

Nevertheless, according to Alkass on Twitter, Salah would be open to a transfer if a fee was successfully negotiated with Liverpool.

Italian journalist Rudy Galetti has further added that Salah would not push for a switch to an interested club unless if became apparent that agreeing a deal with Liverpool was plauisble.

Current league champions Al-Ittihad - the team of Fabinho - have allegedly made contact with the relevant people to explore the possibility of the signing.

Regardless of the size of any offer made, the likelihood is that Liverpool will reject any effort to sign Salah with Jurgen Klopp eager to made new additions.

While central midfielders are a priority, Liverpool currently only have five out-of-out experienced attackers in their ranks, with youngster Ben Doak having also been promoted to the senior ranks.

Salah got the nod alongside Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota for Sunday's Premier League fixture at Chelsea, setting up Diaz's goal in a 1-1 draw.

Later in the match, Salah did not hide his frustration when being substituted by Klopp, a reaction that was played down by his manager.

Barring any developments with his future, Salah is expected to feature for Liverpool when they play host to Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon.
