Report: Philippe Coutinho keen on Liverpool return

Philippe Coutinho is not against the idea of a return to former club Liverpool after a disappointing 18-month spell at Barcelona, according to a report.

Barcelona playmaker Philippe Coutinho is reportedly open to returning to Liverpool this summer if his old club make an approach.

The Brazil international has hinted that he is keen on a move away from Camp Nou after failing to make much of an impact during his first 18 months at the club.

Coutinho cost Barcelona £142m to sign from Liverpool in January 2018 and the Spanish champions want to recoup as much of that fee as possible.

Jurgen Klopp's side have been tipped to re-sign their former player and, according to Mundo Deportivo, the 27-year-old is not against the idea of a return to Anfield.

It is claimed that Liverpool will only sign Coutinho for a significantly reduced price, however, and they also face competition from Paris Saint-Germain.
