Olivier Kemen leaves Newcastle United for Lyon

Newcastle United midfielder Olivier Kemen completes a move to Lyon for an undisclosed fee, ending his two-season stay at St James' Park.

Newcastle United have confirmed that midfielder Olivier Kemen has signed for Lyon on a permanent deal.

The 19-year-old joined the Magpies in 2013 from FC Metz, but failed to make a first-team appearance in his two years at the club.

Kemen has now completed a switch back to France by joining Lyon for an undisclosed fee on a four-year deal.

The midfielder said on Twitter: "Officially a Lyon player, really very happy to sign in this great club."

Kemen has represented France at Under-19 level.
