Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany has bemoaned refereeing decisions as they lost 2-0 to Barcelona in the Champions League.
Dani Alves scored late on to add to Lionel Messi's penalty following Martin Demichelis's sending-off for a last-ditch foul on the Argentina international, and Belgium defender Kompany felt that the official was too whistle-happy.
"There were lots of soft fouls," he told ITV Sport. "In the Premier League they're never going to get given. They're normal challenges and I think the tempo would have been to our advantage [had Demichelis stayed on].
"Just because they haven't been the best team we've played this season doesn't mean that they aren't and if they put in the performance in the Nou Camp then it's a tough game.
"If the game is the same as today though, then we've got a chance."
City now face Stoke City at the weekend.
