Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure has insisted that his side "have learnt" some lessons from their defeat to Barcelona in the first knockout round of the Champions League a year ago.
The two teams will meet again at the same stage of the competition at the Etihad Stadium this evening, 12 months after Barca's 4-1 aggregate victory.
However, ahead of the upcoming tie, Toure, who swapped Barca for City in 2010, believes that his side is better prepared for the challenge this time around.
"If there is a team that is difficult to learn how to beat, it's Barcelona. I am a former Barca player, you can trust me on that," he told the tournament's main sponsor Nissan.
"But there are a few things we have learnt that will be useful this time."
Toure will play no part tonight as he serves the last of his three-game European suspension.
