Manchester City team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Brighton & Hove Albion

Sports Mole rounds up Manchester City's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Saturday's FA Cup semi-final with Brighton & Hove Albion.

Manchester City turn their attention to the FA Cup on Saturday as they take on Brighton & Hove Albion in the first semi-final at Wembley.

Hopes of a quadruple remain very much alive for a team top of the Premier League, in the Champions League quarter-finals and with the EFL Cup already under their belt, and they will be firm favourites to progress to the final this weekend.

The FA Cup is the only major trophy Pep Guardiola has failed to win in the three countries he has coached in so far, and he will be keen to avoid an upset which would wreck the dream of achieving an unprecedented feat in English football.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Man City's latest injury and suspension news for the Wembley showdown.

MAN CITY'S INJURY LIST

Sergio Aguero

Status: Slight doubt
Type of injury: Muscle
Possible return date: April 6 (vs. Brighton)

Sergio Aguero missed Wednesday's win over Cardiff after limping off against Fulham last Saturday, but his muscle injury is not thought to be serious. Guardiola has said that City's top-scorer will travel on Saturday, but he could be held back for the Champions League first leg against Tottenham Hotspur next week instead.

Oleksandr Zinchenko

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: April 17 (vs. Tottenham Hotspur)

Oleksandr Zinchenko lasted less than 20 minutes of the win over Cardiff before being replaced due to a hamstring injury, leaving Guardiola short at left-back. The Ukrainian is expected to miss 10-12 days with the injury.

Benjamin Mendy

Status: Slight doubt
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: April 6 (vs. Brighton)

One player who could help to ease that left-back crisis is Benjamin Mendy, who is currently working his way back up to full fitness after another injury-plagued campaign. The Frenchman could be handed some much-needed minutes this weekend, but Guardiola may be wary of throwing him straight in from the start.

Fabian Delph

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knock
Possible return date: Unknown

Fabian Delph would be another option for left-back, but he too is currently sidelined with a knock which has kept him out since the FA Cup quarter-finals.

Claudio Bravo

Status: Out
Type of injury: Achilles
Possible return date: Unknown

Claudio Bravo has been sidelined with an Achilles problem since August and appears unlikely to feature again this season.

MAN CITY SUSPENSION LIST

Man City have no players suspended for this match.
