Sports Mole looks at the latest injury and suspension news for Manchester City ahead of Wednesday's Premier League encounter with West Ham United.

Manchester City return to Premier League action against West Ham United on Wednesday night having successfully defended the EFL Cup.

Pep Guardiola's side were taken to a penalty shootout by Chelsea, but the North-West giants were eventually able to emerge victorious at Wembley Stadium.

However, the victory came at a cost, with more players joining an already-lengthy injury list ahead of two more matches this week.

Aymeric Laporte was substituted at half time of the EFL Cup final and although the nature of the injury is unclear, Guardiola expects the Frenchman to be absent until the middle of March.

Fernandinho sustained a muscular injury ahead of extra time in the EFL Cup final, and Guardiola has ruled the Brazilian out until the middle of March.


Gabriel Jesus

Gabriel Jesus has missed the last two games with a thigh problem, but Guardiola has previously indicated that the forward is not far away from a return.
