Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has received a three-match ban for elbowing West Ham United defender Winston Reid.
A Football Association panel found the 28-year-old Argentine guilty of violent conduct as the two players challenged for the ball in Man City's 3-1 Premier League win on Sunday.
The suspension means that Aguero will miss the Premier League clashes with local rivals Manchester United at Old Trafford on September 10 and against Bournemouth on September 17, as well as City's EFL Cup third-round tie against Swansea City on September 21.
Aguero, who has scored six goals so far this season for Pep Guardiola's side, will be free to make his return from suspension away at Swansea in the Premier League three days later.
