Manchester City chairman Khaldoon al-Mubarak has heaped praise on manager Roberto Mancini after he guided the club to the Premier League title.
The Citizens ended their 44-year wait for a top-flight championship with a dramatic final-day victory over Queens Park Rangers.
That triumph, which came courtesy of stoppage-time strikes from Edin Dzeko and Sergio Aguero, saw Mancini's side edge out rivals Manchester United in the fight for Premier League glory and al-Mubarak has hailed the Italian for masterminding City's success.
"Roberto is a winner. He is a very strong character, who wants to win more than anyone I have ever seen. He is so driven and has an incredible amount of energy," said Khaldoon.
"We have got very close over the years and I know how he works. We have all learned a lot and have managed some very difficult situations over the season.
"We have achieved our objective and won the league and a lot of credit for that must go to his managerial skills."
Mancini has been in charge at the Etihad Stadium since December 2009.
