Bernardo Silva admits that he is unsure if he will remain at Manchester City this season, with Barcelona interested in signing the Portugal international.

Barcelona target Bernardo Silva has admitted that his Manchester City future is uncertain.

The La Liga club have been pursuing the 28-year-old over the last few weeks, and according to a recent report, they told the Citizens that they would make an offer before the transfer window closes.

City are also expected to meet with Barcelona this week to discuss a potential deal, which could bring in a fee between €50m (£42.2m) and €60m (£50.7m).

With Barcelona seemingly upping their interest, Silva has commented on his future, admitting that he is unsure if he will stay with the Citizens this season.

Speaking to ESPN, the Portugal international said: "I've always said that I'm happy here but I have no idea what's going to happen.

"We'll see, honestly. My relationship with the club is very honest. I've been open with them and they know what I want.

"If I stay, I'm very happy and I will always respect this club and give all my best. If not, it's football and we'll just see what happens."

Commenting on Man City's stance on his rumoured departure, Silva added: "It's a big club and they don't want players who are not happy at the club.

"They always say to all of us that if you're not happy, you can go. Of course, they are in business and they want the right amount of money for letting us go but personally, it's a relationship with the club that is very respectful.

"They have always been honest with me and I have always been honest with them. As I said, I will always respect my relationship with Man City, with the fans, with the staff, with my teammates so whatever happens, happens and it for sure will happen in a very respectful way."

Silva - who has three years left on his City contract - started the Community Shield defeat to Liverpool before featuring as a late substitute in the 2-0 victory over West Ham United on the opening weekend of the Premier League season.
