Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne reveals his delight following Saturday's 1-0 win at Premier League champions Chelsea.

Kevin De Bruyne has called Manchester City's 1-0 win over Premier League champions Chelsea on Saturday 'a nice way to end the month'.

De Bruyne came up with the only goal of the match at Stamford Bridge, with the Belgium international netting in the 67th minute to secure three vital points for City, who have returned to the top of the Premier League table.

Chelsea entered the match off the back of an impressive 2-1 victory at Atletico Madrid in the Champions League, but De Bruyne has claimed that his team were tactically superior to Antonio Conte's side.

"I think it was a tactical game and disciplined game from both sides. We had more chances, not too many but a little bit more. We played tactically a great game, It's a nice win because it's difficult to win here," De Bruyne told BT Sport.

"It ends a very nice month for us. it's only the beginning but it's good to maintain the winning streak. We want to win as many as possible."

De Bruyne has now scored twice and provided four assists in nine appearances for City during the 2017-18 campaign.
