Fernandinho keen to prove critics wrong

Fernandinho insists that there is no secret to Manchester City's success as they bid to prove their critics wrong.

Fernandinho has admitted that Manchester City are delighted to be proving their critics wrong with a fine start to the season.

Manuel Pellegrini's side have won four successive games without conceding a goal in the Premier League, and Fernandinho insists that there is no secret to their early success as they bid to wrestle the title away from Chelsea.

"Some people made a bad decision," the Brazilian midfielder is quoted as saying by The Mirror. "They don't know what is happening inside the team, inside the club.

"They don't see we are working hard every single day - we have two sessions some days, and most Premier League teams don't do that.

"We are doing that and I hope it means that we will end as champions, but there is a long way to go."

City make the trip to Crystal Palace next Saturday.
