Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany has claimed that he is "honoured" to have penned a new deal with the Premier League winners.
The Belgium international paid tribute to the club's supporters and insisted that he is determined to win more trophies with manager Roberto Mancini following the completion of his new six-year deal.
Kompany wrote on Twitter: "Very pleased and honoured to announce my new 6 year contract with MCFC! I am good here, best fans in the world! Ready for much more trophies!"
The 26-year-old moved to the North-West club in 2008.
