Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini insists that he cannot criticise striker Carlos Tevez despite his lean spell in front of goal.

Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has insisted that he is not disappointed with the form of striker Carlos Tevez.

The Argentinian forward has only scored seven goals for the Premier League champions this campaign, four of which came in the opening month of the season, but Mancini believes that Tevez's workrate makes up for his lack of goals.

Mancini told reporters: "No, I'm not disappointed about his form recently.

"About Carlos I can say nothing because when he plays, even if he is not 100%, he's a fighter, he puts everything he can on the pitch, so I can't say anything against him."

Tevez has scored 63 in 110 appearances for Manchester City.
