Roberto Mancini believes Manchester City can go to Munich and win in their Champions League match with Bayern tomorrow night.

Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini has insisted that his side can go to Bayern Munich and win in their Champions League clash tomorrow night.

City made a stuttering start to their European season, being held to a home draw by Italian side Napoli in the first round of fixtures.

After the match, Mancini stated boldly that his side would rectify that result by winning in Munich and he reinforced this belief in today's pre-match press conference.

"We are here to do well. We are not here to lose the game, we are here to win if possible."

Former captain Carlos Tevez may start after being left on the bench for Saturday's 2-0 win over Everton, while Nigel de Jong is expected to be named among the substitutes after recovering from a foot injury.
