Alan Pardew: 'Manchester City can win Premier League title'

Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew says that Manchester City can still win the Premier League title this season, ahead of their meeting at Selhurst Park on Monday.

Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew believes that Manchester City's track record in recent seasons gives them a chance of catching Chelsea in the Premier League title race.

City, who travel to Palace on Monday evening, are six points behind the Blues, who also have a game in hand.

Pardew is confident that Manuel Pellegrini's men can finish top this year, having done so previously in 2012 and 2014.

"Of course they are still in the title race, it's been proven many times the race is never over," the Palace boss told talkSPORT.

"Even when City won it [in 2012], it went to the last seconds. It's the great thing about the Premier League, you can't take victories for granted."

City beat Palace 3-0 when the sides last met in December.
