Manchester City first-team coach David Platt has praised Mario Balotelli's performance in yesterday's routine win over Blackburn Rovers, describing the striker's performance as "very disciplined".
The Italian forward scored the opening goal before City went on to complete a comfortable three-goal victory.
"I actually thought he was very disciplined in his performance and his work rate was exceptional both on and off the ball," said Platt.
"His temperament was good. He can be pleased with his afternoon's work."
The win moved City five points clear of rivals Manchester United in the Premier League title race.
