Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero could break another club Premier League record should he score the opening goal against West Ham United on Sunday.

Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero could create another slice of history this weekend by becoming the first player to score six consecutive Premier League goals for the club.

The Argentine has netted each of his side's last five goals in the competition - the final two of his hat-trick in the 6-1 drubbing of Aston Villa, a brace against Crystal Palace and the only goal of the game against Sheffield United.

Aguero also had the chance to make it six in a row against Tottenham Hotspur last time out, but both he and the team drew a blank as Pep Guardiola's side fell to a 2-0 defeat in North London.

Nonetheless, the 31-year-old's recent goalscoring exploits were enough to see him named the Premier League Player of the Month for January - the seventh time he has won the award to surpass Harry Kane and Steven Gerrard at the top of the all-time list.

Aguero has an impressive record against West Ham as he goes in search of another record this weekend, having scored 10 and assisted four goals in his 16 appearances against the Hammers across all competitions.

The last Man City player other than Aguero to score in the Premier League was Gabriel Jesus, who netted his side's fourth against Villa on January 12.
