Everton have confirmed the arrival of Eliaquim Mangala from Manchester City on a loan deal running until the end of the season.
The 26-year-old centre-back was surplus to requirements at the Etihad following the club-record arrival of Aymeric Laporte in January and travelled to Merseyside late on deadline day to complete his temporary switch.
Speaking to the Toffees' website after the deal was signed, the Frenchman said: "I am thrilled to have the opportunity to play for Everton and I cannot wait to pull on the royal blue jersey for the first time and give my all for the supporters."
During his three-and-a-half years with City, Mangala has been restricted to just 57 Premier League appearances and spent most of last season out on loan at Valencia.
Mangala had also been courted by Newcastle United in the final stages of the transfer window.
