Manchester City defender Eliaquim Mangala has reportedly arrived at Everton's training ground to undergo a medical ahead of his proposed loan move.
The 26-year-old has been deemed surplus to requirements by Citizens boss Pep Guardiola following the club-record signing of compatriot Aymeric Laporte from Athletic Bilbao.
Everton are understood to be one of a number of sides to have enquired about the centre-back's availability, and Sky Sports News claims that a deal is a step closer to happening as he is currently at the Toffees' Finch Farm HQ.
Mangala arrived at the Etihad Stadium from Porto in a £32m move three-and-a-half years ago, but he was shipped out to Valencia last season and has struggled to break into City's first team upon his return.
Newcastle United are said to have provided the sternest competition for the Frenchman's signature.
