Bayern Munich have reportedly held talks with the agent of Leroy Sane as the Bundesliga giants attempt to thrash out a deal for the Manchester City attacker.
Sane was strongly linked with a switch to the Allianz Arena during the summer transfer window, only for a serious knee injury to scupper the chances of the German moving to Bayern.
The speculation surrounding the 23-year-old continues to gather pace, though, as his contract at the Etihad Stadium will expire at the end of the 2020-21 campaign.
Sane's City teammates are reportedly convinced that the former Schalke 04 youngster will join Bayern at the end of the current season.
According to Goal.com, Bayern are unlikely to make a move in January due to the attacker's injury problems, but the German champions have been in talks with Sane's agent Giovanni Branchini over a deal.
The report claims that the Germany international is still the club's number one transfer target as they look to sign another wide player following the summer departures of Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery.
Sane is expected to make his return from a knee injury in the early stages of 2020.
