Former Arsenal striker Charlie Nicholas has told Manchester City to make Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann a top transfer target this summer.
The former Premier League champions are expected to spend a lot of money at the end of the season to inject some fresh legs into their ageing side, and Griezmann has been in fine form for Atletico all season.
Nicholas also highlighted Bayern Munich midfielder Javi Martinez as a potential replacement for Yaya Toure, who is expected to leave this summer.
He told Sky Sports News: "Somebody like Javi Martinez, who is very intelligent but has missed most of the season with injuries, is the sort of player they need and would give them better balance with [David] Silva.
"Then there's the possibility of Samir Nasri and Jesus Navas, who has been a waste, moving on and I think Griezmann would be the perfect replacement.
"Martinez and Griezmann are the sort of players they need to sign, players that will bring pace and momentum to their play."
City have also been linked with Raheem Sterling, Kevin De Bruyne and Paul Pogba.
