Sergio Busquets wants Barcelona stay

Sergio Busquets appears to rule out a reunion with Pep Guardiola at Manchester City by revealing that he is eager to sign a new contract with Barcelona.

Sergio Busquets has revealed that he is keen to sign a new contract at Barcelona.

Recent quotes attributed to the midfielder claimed that he could be tempted to join his former boss Pep Guardiola at Manchester City in the summer.

However, when asked about his future following last night's 2-0 win over Arsenal in the Champions League, Busquets insisted that he is eager to hold further negotiations with Barca president Josep Maria Bartomeu.

"It's a situation that depends on the president," the 27-year-old told reporters.

"I hope he sticks to his word, but I am confident that everything will find a solution. I know where I want to be. I feel valued at Barcelona and we are in a great moment."

Busquets was given his senior Barca debut by Guardiola in 2008.
