Marcus Rashford is pushing to be named in the Manchester United starting XI for Saturday's Premier League clash with Leicester City at Old Trafford.
The 24-year-old has struggled to make his mark for the Red Devils during the 2021-22 campaign, managing just five goals and two assists in 26 appearances in all competitions.
Rashford was in the starting side for Man United's last Premier League match against Tottenham Hotspur on March 12 but struggled to make his mark and was back on the bench against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League three days later.
The attacker will be fresh, though, having not been involved for England over the international break, and interim head coach Ralf Rangnick could decide to select the academy product from the first whistle on Saturday.
Man United are in desperate need of the three points, as they currently sit sixth in the Premier League table, four points behind fourth-placed Arsenal, who still have a game in hand.

Rashford has faced Leicester on 13 previous occasions in all competitions and boasts a strong record against the Foxes, posting eight wins, three draws and just two defeats.
The attacker has found the back of the net on six occasions against Leicester, all of which have come in the Premier League, while he has won seven of his 12 league meetings with the Foxes.
Rashford was on the scoresheet against Leicester at the King Power Stadium last season, registering in the 2-2 draw, while he netted in Man United's 4-2 away defeat to the Foxes back in October.
The Englishman's debut against Leicester came during the 2015-16 Premier League season, playing 82 minutes of the 1-1 draw at Old Trafford.
Meanwhile, he scored his first goal against them in a 4-1 victory at Old Trafford during the 2016-17 campaign and has netted in every season against the Foxes since.

Indeed, Rashford has found the back of the net in his last six Premier League campaigns against Leicester, with three of those goals coming at Old Trafford.
The Foxes are actually Rashford's favourite opponents when it comes to scoring, having struck six times against them, bettering his records against Chelsea and Liverpool (five) when he found the back of the net in Man United's 4-2 loss at the King Power Stadium earlier this season.
The attacker has also featured once against Leicester in the Community Shield, playing 20 minutes of his team's 2-1 success at Wembley back in 2016.
Rashford has failed to contribute an assist against the Foxes, but the fact that his goal record against them is strong could mean that Rangnick decides to select him from the start this weekend despite an underwhelming campaign to date for the academy product.
